PROJECT TITLE:

”COOPERATION FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF THE LOCAL MARKET BY INTEGRATING SHORT MEAT SUPPLY CHAINS IN URZICENI AND IT'S SURROUNDINGS”

  • Ludy SRL with registered office in Carei, Tireamului street, 8, Satu Mare, as partner 4, legal representative Ludescher Norbert Gyorgy with the position of administrator, with Ludescher Norbert Gyorgy as legal project manager with the position of administrator.
  • Eberst Csaba residing in Urziceni, 211, with SSN 1701103300011, as partner 5.

General objective of the project:

Establishment of a local market in the Urziceni area based exclusively on the development of short supply chains in this area through the activities carried out by the partnership set up during the implementation period of the financing contract.

Specific objectives:

  • Objective 1: To build up, during the implementation period of the grant contract, an infrastructure capable of supporting promotional/marketing events and other specific activities in the targeted area.
  • Objective 2: Purchase,. during the implementation period of the grant contract, the mobile slaughterhouse.
  • Objective 3: Carry out, in the targeted area, 2 actions to promote the purchase of products and the local/traditional product concept and 2 marketing events and other specific activities to increase the visibility and competitiveness of the local market served by the short supply chain foreseen to be strengthened by the partnership agreement.

Role of partners:

The Association for the Rural Development of the Province of Satu Mare is responsible for organizing social and economic activities and is Project Leader.

The Association is responsible for carrying out and managing all procurement within the project. The coordinator entity of the project will be responsible for it's implementation. It proposes a project coordinator, an individual  person, employed by the project leader for a period at least equal to the duration of the project, appointed to manage the project, technically and in terms of relations between partners, in compliance with the conditions specified in the Applicant Guide. Coordinate/manage technically and financially the implementation of the project.

Responsibilities of the project coordinator:

Manages the project, technically and in terms of relations between partners, respecting the conditions specified in the Applicant's Guide.

Technically and financially coordinate/manage the implementation of the project.

Ensures effective communication between all partners involved to enable the successful implementation of the project.

{Produces regular reports (based on the reports submitted by partners) on implementation progress, activities carried out, indicators achieved, results achieved at the time of reporting and ensures communication with MA/PA.

Ensures the visibility of the project and the funder in accordance with the legal provisions in force.

It will keep the necessary documents for monitoring purposes and will manage the relationships with AFIR.

  • The surveillance of the development of visual promotional materials
  • The surveillance of the creation of the brand of products according to the recipes of the Șvabi, fresh meat and carcass
  • The surveillance of the organization of a joint event to open the project
  • The surveillance of the organization of a monthly meeting to monitor the implementation of the activities carried out within the project

  • The surveillance of the organization of two sessions to promote the local product concept integrated in the short chain trade strategy

He will coordinate the brand and trademark presentation event

It will propose a project coordinator to supervise the implementation of the project.



Schontal Innovative Agricultural Cooperative was established in 2016 with the main activity 0142 - Breeding of other cattle. CA currently owns 210 cattle.

The head office of the cooperative is in the village of Urziceni, commune Urziceni, no. 378, Satu Mare county. COOPERATIVA AGRICOLĂ SCHONTAL INNOVATIVE, after a market study, has come to the conclusion that the demand for meat on the Romanian market is greater than the supply, so it requests this financial support towards the purchase of this mobile slaughterhouse.

Carries out activities agreed with the Project Leader to ensure a smooth implementation of the project.

Produces regular technical and financial reports on the implementation progress, activities carried out, indicators achieved, results achieved at the time of reporting.

It ensures full co-financing of the project (in the case of projects involving operations supported through other sub-measures.

It will provide the necessary land for the storage of the mobile container slaughterhouse. The mobile slaughterhouse will be placed on an existing concrete platform on the private property of Schontal Innovative C.A. in Urziceni, no. 378, topographic number CF 102028, Satu Mare

By implementing this partnership agreement, i.e. by purchasing a mobile slaughterhouse, the following will be obtained: cattle quarters, pug carcass, by products (organs), sheep carcass. A supplier will be contracted for the purchase of branding and brand registration services.

It will organize the brand and trademark presentation event.


Satu Mare Calvinist High School:

Address: Piața Păcii, no. 4, Satu Mare

Carries out activities agreed with the Project Leader to ensure a smooth implementation of the project.

Students will be invited to see the purchase made through the project. The event will promote local produce as part of an educational campaign to raise awareness of eating healthy meat from safe sources.

They will help create and develop the brand.

Restaurant Ludy SRL:

Partner No. 4 provides its location for the video spot to promote the brand and the events organized within the project.

Farmer Eberst Csaba:

Partner No. 5 is a farmer who produces and raises pigs on his own farm and provides a source of pork. He owns 10 pigs.

The implementation of the project will generate added value for both the partners and the local community and will focus on the following areas:

Thanks to the promotional actions targeted by the project as well as the acquisition of the mobile slaughterhouse that will be carried out, there will be an important commercial development for the products that will be offered to consumers. All this is due to the participation of the members of the partnership in the promotional actions.

The implementation of the project brings added value for the farmer members compared to the situation where the project would not get financial support. Thus, by creating the partnership, producers will be able to market larger quantities of meat together, will have a place arranged according to the rules in force for the slaughter of animals, will benefit from promotion and advertising of their products.

Thanks to the promotional actions targeted by the project as well as the acquisition of the mobile slaughterhouse that will be carried out, there will be an important commercial development for the products that will be offered to consumers. All this is due to the participation of the members of the partnership in the promotional actions. The partnership will also influence the activity of farmers in the context of promotion though branding and various media channels.

For the meat, meat and carcass partners, the implementation of tis marketing plan will lead to increased revenue and therefore profit. The commercial leverage they will be exposed to through the purchase of promotional services will lead to an increase in the number of customers.

The partnership promotes local products - fresh beef, pork and mutton - under the Schwaben Farm brand that meet the key characteristics of the short supply chain:

  • The marketing process does not involve more than one intermediary between producer and consumer
  • Short face-to-face supply chain: the customer buys a product directly from the producer
  • Online promotional campaigns and social media have a number of advantageous characteristics: they address a wide audience: they are based on the principle of repetition: continuity, persistence: the message is unique and direct to the entire target audience.

Establishment of an infrastructure capable of supporting events and promotional/marketing actions and other specific activities in the Urziceni area:

  • Providing the project implementation team and an equipped space for the smooth running of project activities
  • Development of visual promotion materials (brochures, flyers, banners, roll-ups, radio/TV/online promotion)
